Congratulations to Beerwah for taking out the Sunshine Coast-Glasshouse A Grade pennant this year.

Headland probably went in to the final as slight favourites.  Headland had not lost a round all season with two draws while Beerwah had lost three rounds and just edged out Bribie Island on countback for their position in the final.

In a very close match Headland took a strong lead of 5 matches to 2 up at the turn before Beerwah fought back to level it at 3-3 with the number ones still out on the course.
What a climactic way to end the day with the result caming down to the number ones match between Headland's Ben Duncombe and Beerwah's Sean Daines.  Two fine golfers by anyone's standard.

With the crowd anticipating a tight match between 2 excellent golfers they were not disappointed. The match finished up square after the normal 18 holes so it was down the 19th for a decider. Both players got away well but unfortunately Ben missed a longer crunch putt to lose the match and give Beerwah the title 4-3.

Winners are grinners!
